My Story

TUCKER is the golden ray of sunshine you didn’t know you needed. Trust us, he will absolutely steal your heart. Tucker is 9 years old, 75 pounds, and pretty much the perfect senior companion anyone could ever ask for. Yes, he does have heartworm and is starting treatment, but he remains the happiest, gentlest, most grateful boy. (He’ll just need crate rest during recovery, and if anyone can handle that like a gentleman, it’s Tucker.) “Tucker is just happy 24/7,” his foster shares. “Whether we’re cuddling on the couch, going for a walk, or taking him in the car, he’s just HAPPY.” A day with Tucker includes short strolls, lounging in his cozy bed, watching birds in the trees, and keeping you company while you eat (no begging, just quietly being by your side). “He doesn’t ask for anything,” his foster says. “He just wants to be near you.” He adores belly rubs and melts into you for couch cuddles. “He’ll run over and nudge you for belly rubs. It’s the sweetest thing.” For a senior, he has the perfect energy, he enjoys playing throughout the day and his nap time equally. Short strolls, sniffing adventures, bird watching, that’s his speed + loud trucks, vacuums and everyday noise doesn’t bother him one bit. He’s dog-friendly and enjoys calmly sniffing other pup, . He’s fully house trained and lets you know when he needs to go out. He takes his medication like a champ in his wet food. “He makes everything easy,” his foster adds, and there’s no doubt he’ll instantly make you fall in love. Let’s get this golden boy the home he deserves. Adopt him at rescuecity.nyc/adopt
