BEAR

Meet Bear, the tabby boy! Bear arrived to the Shelter after his previous guardian as unable to continue caring for him. He was indoors only in his previous home and has lived with other cats and dogs who he got along with. Bear has also been around older kids as well and did well. At the Shelter, Bear has been pretty shy and reserved. This is not uncommon for kitties as the Shelter is a bustling environment that can be overwhelming. We anticipate that with a slow, thoughtful introduction – Bear will start to relax and blossom. Bear could go to an adoptive home with some of his feline friends or could acclimate to a home with new animal friends (provided there is a slow, thoughtful introduction).Please note: Our Santa Cruz location’s Shelter hours are 11-6pm, 7 days a week! Although clients can walk through and see any animals in their kennels during open hours, we end “meet and greets” (aka meeting an animal out of the kennel) at 4:30pm every day. If you’d like to meet an animal out of the kennel, please arrive before 4:00pm to allow for time to discuss individual animals and meet them.
