Roy is a 10-month-old Chesapeake Bay Retriever/Beagle mix who’s equal parts sweetness, smarts, and puppy energy. At just 51 lbs, he’s a perfect medium size with room to grow — and he’s already showing how eager he is to learn and bond with his people.He LOVES being outside, exploring, and playing. Give him a yard, a toy, or even a big red ball in the snow, and he’s in his element. He listens well, responds to guidance, and genuinely wants to do the right thing.Roy ADORES other dogs. He is in every. single. playgroup. We're not kidding. Roy has been the right-hand pup for evaluating new dogs to participate in playgroups. He's been around rough players that want to wrestle, dogs who just want to chase, scared dogs, senior dogs, big dogs, lazy dogs, dogs who don't actually like other dogs (these introductions are conducted to keep everyone safe- we always make sure that Roy has a good time afterwards if someone is mean to him). He's quirky and loves to carry his leash around when he's running around with his dog friends.Roy is looking for a home that understands his youthful enthusiasm and his desire to keep learning.
