Barkley

Barkley is a 6-year-old Siberian Husky mix weighing about 60 pounds, and he is the definition of a polite gentleman. This handsome guy is both house-trained and crate-trained. At night, he sleeps in his crate with the door open in his foster parents’ bedroom, he just likes having his own cozy space nearby. Barkley is a chill, easygoing companion who enjoys the simple things in life. He’s happiest hanging around the house, taking car rides, enjoying brief walks (he walks very nicely on leash!), playing with toys, and of course, squeezing in a good nap or two. He has a calm presence and would fit beautifully into a home looking for a steady, relaxed best friend. He’s a smart cookie, too! Barkley already knows “Sit,” “Lay Down,” and “Shake.” He’s friendly, confident, adaptable, happy, playful, and quiet, the total package. His foster mom says he’s the most polite gentleman and that he gently paws you when he’d like a little attention. It’s impossible not to fall in love with that sweet gesture. Barkley hasn’t been exposed to kids, dogs, or cats in our care, but he ignores other dogs while out on walks. With his easygoing personality and great manners, he’s ready to settle into a loving home and be someone’s all-around perfect boy. His minimum adoption fee is $300 plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents. He has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives.
