River Cooters need large tanks - 75 gallon minimum and would thrive best in a pond set up. They have a shell designed for deep swimming. They need water heated to 70-80 degrees. They love to bask and need a basking area between 80-90 degrees. They also require UVB light on their basking area.They make for fun, socialable pets that need little handling and can do well with other similar sized turtles.
