He arrived with a low tail wag and wide eyes, taking in shelter life with the careful attention of someone who finds things new and surprising — like walking into an office, which apparently requires a moment of serious consideration. And he does it while staying sweet, staying close, and staying completely endearing.He takes treats gently, sticks close to his person like a spotted shadow, and is affectionate with everyone who takes the time to meet him where he is. Leash walking is a work in progress — he zigs, he zags, he has opinions about direction — but he is learning. Other dogs? Not really his thing. A toy?
