My Story
Meet Nora Nora is a beautiful 5½-year-old girl whose world was turned upside down when her owner passed away. She remained alone in the apartment for about a week before he was discovered. It was a heartbreaking beginning to her rescue journey. When Nora came into care, she was understandably depressed and suffering from severe dental disease. The infection had to be brought under control before she could undergo surgery. After her dental procedure, she was left with just four healthy teeth — and those are staying. The rest had to be removed. The good news? Nora feels so much better now. She happily gobbles up her dry food and manages just fine with her remaining teeth. Wet food? That depends entirely on her mood. Some days yes… some days absolutely not.A Little Extra About Nora Nora is deaf. Because of this, she can startle if she doesn’t see you coming. She adapts quickly, though, and most of the time you truly wouldn’t know she can’t hear. She simply needs a gentle approach and people who are mindful of her space. She is a very sweet girl who loves affection. Laps are her happy place, and she absolutely adores stretching out in warm sunbeams. The Home Nora NeedsNora must be the only pet — no cats and no dogs. She needs to feel secure, not startled, and have her boundaries respected. Older, calm children who understand how to move gently around her would be fine. She was previously in a home for about three months, but through no one’s fault, the situation simply wasn’t the right fit. Nora deserves a stable, understanding forever home where she can truly settle in for good. While she needs to be your one and only, she more than makes up for it with the love and devotion she gives. Nora is ready to give her whole heart to her person. If you’re looking for a loyal, loving companion who just wants a peaceful home and a sunny spot by your side, Nora may be your girl.
