CLIFFORD

Clifford is the sweetest boy, but he came to the shelter scared and distrustful of new people. Once he warms up he is loving, obedient, and above all PLAYFUL. This young dog would chase a ball all day. He is smart and treat motivated, and we know he’ll respond quickly to training. He really doesn’t take long to come around now, and has met strangers both out in public and in shelter with success. Clifford still struggles with fear based responses, though, and will need a confident and experienced handler who can help him feel safe and make good choices. He shows real promise with other dogs, just needs to learn how to play a little better post neuter. You’ll see his body language is all play in the videos. Though Clifford has made great improvements in the shelter, he is on our urgent to exit list, as we don’t want him to backslide into fearfulness by staying at the shelter. Can you help Clifford?
