Meet Trixie — 8 years young and still running on pure joy and enthusiasm.Trixie is a German Shepherd mix who found herself at the shelter due to allergies in her previous home (not hers—she’s flawless, obviously). And while she may technically be a “senior,” someone forgot to tell Trixie. This girl is SPRY. Think “ready to go at all times” energy.Her signature move? Carrying toys everywhere she goes. Emotional support toy? Check. Security blanket? Check. Fashion statement? Also check. And if you throw that toy? Game ON. Trixie is a full-blown fetch fanatic and takes her role very seriously.Shelter life has been a little stressful for her, so she may burst out of her kennel like she’s been shot out of a cannon and pull a bit on leash at first—but it’s all excitement about finally being out and about. Once she settles in, her good manners start to shine.Trixie is basically a valedictorian of Good Dog School—she knows sit, down, shake, stay, and come. Her previous family reports she’s housebroken, crate trained, great in the car, walks well on leash, friendly with adults and kids, and not an escape artist. Her main goal in life? Be near her people and soak up as much attention as possible.Trixie is looking for a home that can match her zest for life, toss a toy/ball or two (or ten), and give her the love she’s used to.
