Meet Rosie — 11-Year-Old Chihuahua Rosie lost her home on 2/12/26 after her loving owners became ill. At 11 years old, this little lady is hoping to find a calm, gentle home where she can spend her golden years feeling safe and loved.Rosie may be small, but she has a confident and independent personality. Unlike many Chihuahuas who prefer to be carried everywhere, Rosie likes to travel on her own four paws and explore the world around her. She walks beautifully on leash and would enjoy daily strolls with her person.Rosie is very friendly with people and happily allowed visitors of all ages to pet her. While she’s not a dog who wants to be held constantly, she will eventually settle into your lap once she feels comfortable — especially if you're relaxing on the floor with her.When meeting other dogs, Rosie can be a little nervous. She was initially vocal around other dogs but did show interest in a calmer dog once the environment quieted down. Because of this, she may be able to live with a calm dog with a proper introduction.Rosie would do best in a quiet home with gentle owners who understand Chihuahua personalities and can give her the peaceful environment she deserves. A senior household or a calmer home with children over 10 would likely suit her best.After losing the only home she’s known, Rosie is ready for a soft place to land — and someone to share her walks, naps, and quiet companionship with.
