My Story

WREN NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!! Name:  Wren        Best Guess for Breed:  Shepherd/German shepherd mix  Best Guess for Age:  5 months as of March 2026         SEX:    Female   Approximate Weight:  24 lbs as of 3/1/26; is still growing!   Gets Along With:  Other dogs! We haven't seen her with cats or kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters.   Currently Living at:  DC area foster home   Wren is Looking For:  Wren and her brother Sonny have loved growing up together but now they're ready to split up and get their own human families. This is what Wren is looking for: Play time! Snuggles World exploration! More cuddles Dog school, so she can show how super smart she is Most of all, though, she wants to know she is safe and loved, where she belongs. In exchange she promises so many adoring gazes and loyal companionship for all her days. What do you say? Is Wren the one you see by your side? What My Foster Says About Me:  Wren is a sweet, affectionate puppy who enjoys a mix of activity and downtime. She loves going on long walks, playing with her toys, and curling up for cozy naps (complete with adorable snoring!). Wren is friendly and enjoys meeting new people and other dogs.   She loves frozen blueberries and ice cubes are among her favorite treats—and she tends to graze on her kibble rather than eating all at once. Like many puppies, she may need a little encouragement to get moving after a nap, but once she’s outside, she’s happy and ready to explore.   Wren is already picking up on basic training and knows commands like “sit” and “leave it,” and even sits at every crosswalk. We are currently working on getting "down" next.    She has been a dream to foster.   Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken.  All of our dogs are working on their crate training.  TO ADOPT: The adoption fee for this puppy is $485, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations and spay/neuter.
