My Story
03/12/26 14:30Meet Inot, a 9-year-old gentleman who is having a tough time adjusting to the busy shelter environment. The noise and constant activity are a bit overwhelming for him, and he is often found tucked under his bed where he feels safest. Because of this stress, he has only been eating small amounts, and our medical team has started him on gabapentin to help ease his anxiety while heâs here. Despite feeling nervous in the kennel, Inot is a very sweet and gentle cat. When approached calmly, he allows petting and handling and shows that he enjoys quiet affection. Once he feels safe, his soft and loving personality really begins to shine. Our veterinary team has evaluated him and found him to be generally healthy overall. He tested negative for FIV, FeLV, and heartworm disease. Inot does have nystagmus (a slight movement of the eyes), which is most likely congenital and not uncommon in some cats. Inot would benefit greatly from a calm home or rescue placement where he can decompress and settle into a predictable routine. With patience, gentle care, and a quiet environment, this sweet senior boy has all the potential to blossom into a wonderful companion.
