All inquiries should be directed to the owner, not Yolo County Animal Services. Meet Layla, an energetic 3-year-old Husky / Australian Cattle Dog mix with a beautiful black, white, and tan coat. Layla has been with her current owner for about two years and is now looking for a new home because her owner will be traveling out of state for work and cannot take her along. Rufa  Layla is described as a smart, loyal, and affectionate dog who loves being around people. She enjoys walks, playing fetch, and spending time outdoors, and would do best with an active family or someone who enjoys outdoor activities. She also knows basic commands and responds especially well when treats are involved. Rufa-Yefremenkov Layla is friendly with children and generally enjoys meeting people. She can be a bit excited and may jump up when greeting, which is something she is still working on. She allows people to take toys or food from her without issue. Rufa-Yefremenkov On walks, Layla may growl at other dogs if they appear to growl at her, but her owner reports that she does well off-leash at dog parks once she is comfortable. She can be a little shy with new dogs at first but warms up and enjoys playing. Rufa-Yefremenkov Layla is not spayed but is current on vaccines. She has primarily spent several hours a day outside, and her potty-training status is unknown. Rufa-Yefremenkov Her owner shares that Layla is full of love and energy and would thrive in a home that can provide more attention, activity, and space to explore.
