Meet Dustin, the adorable black kitty. Dustin has gone through a lot of change in the past few months (rehomed a couple of times between friends) and is ready to spring into a new, stable situation. Dustin can be a little shy at first but is sweet when he warms up. He has lived with other cats and cat-savvy dogs. A home with other animals would likely be appropriate with a slow, thoughtful introduction. Dustin was reported to be afraid of the outdoors previously and would thrive as an indoor only kitty. Dustin’s adoption fee is reduced by $20 thanks to the Bogey Fund – a fund that draws adopter’s eyes towards often overlooked black cats in Shelters waiting for the purrfect home.Please note: Our Santa Cruz location’s Shelter hours are 11-6pm, 7 days a week! Although clients can walk through and see any animals in their kennels during open hours, we end “meet and greets” (aka meeting an animal out of the kennel) at 4:30pm every day. If you’d like to meet an animal out of the kennel, please arrive before 4:00pm to allow for time to discuss individual animals and meet them.
