My Story

Sadie is the kind of dog who makes you slow down and notice the quiet moments. About a year ago, she was wandering around an apartment complex, small and unsure, as if she hadn’t quite figured out where she belonged in the world. Since then, she has been learning what safety feels like — what it means to rest without worry, to sit in the sunshine, to curl up beside someone who is gentle with her heart. Now, at around three years old and just 15 pounds, this spayed Russell Terrier mix is ready for the one thing she’s been missing all along: a forever home. At first, Sadie is shy — she’ll watch you carefully, taking you in with thoughtful eyes. But give her a little patience, a little kindness, and you’ll see her blossom. The timid girl fades away and in her place is a loyal, affectionate companion who wants nothing more than to be close to her person. She loves to cuddle, to be rubbed, to stretch out in a warm patch of sunlight like it’s her own personal paradise. And while she treasures quiet closeness, Sadie also has a spark. She loves adventure. She loves to explore. There’s a curiosity in her — a joy in feeling the breeze on a walk, in sniffing a new trail, in discovering the world at her own pace. She walks nicely on a leash, is wonderful in her crate, and gets along well with other dogs. She understands that outside is where she should potty and thrives with gentle guidance and a consistent routine. Sadie doesn’t need chaos or constant excitement. She needs steadiness. She needs someone who understands that trust is built softly and that the most meaningful bonds take a little time. In return, she will give a kind of devotion that runs deep — the quiet loyalty of a dog who once felt uncertain and now finally knows she is home. She has already proven how resilient she is. Now she’s just waiting for someone to choose her — not just for a season, but for life.Available dogs are met by appointment only and pre-approved adopters ONLY.Our dogs are currently in a foster homes which can answer your questions better than anyone else. We promise our fosters that we will qualify all potential adopters before we ask them to communicate with potential adopters. The application is the first step.
