My Story

Meet Serena! This adorable love bug is the perfect combination of sweet and spirited. She has been living with a foster family for now but is absolutely ready to find a forever home!  With her high energy level, Serena needs an adopter who can provide plenty of exercise and mental stimulation. Whether it's long sniffy walks, backyard romps, or fun training sessions, she thrives when she has an outlet for all that enthusiasm. She is housetrained, already knows basic commands, and is a very fast and eager learner especially when treats are involved.  One of Serena's favorite things is playing with other dogs—rumor has it that in shelter playgroups she was usually the first in and last out! In her foster home, she loves romping around the backyard with her canine foster brother or needling him for a game of bitey-face.Serena is wonderful with people and did great when living in a house with a young child. She takes a very enthusiastic interest in the neighborhood cats, so a cat-free home would be best. We recommend that Serena go to a home with another dog or an adopter who is often at home. In a previous home Serena struggled with separation anxiety; however in her foster home she is perfectly fine when left home alone with another dog for company. If you're looking for a loving, energetic, and smart companion who will bring joy and excitement to your life, Serena might be your perfect match.Contact her foster family at bluehousefosterdog@gmail.com for more info about her and to schedule a meet and greet. Serana has participated in shelter playgroups and may enjoy a compatible canine friend in her new home.To meet me, visit the Bradshaw Animal Shelter Tuesday-Sunday, Noon - 5:00 pm, Wednesdays, Noon - 6:00 pm. All adoptions are on a first-come, first-served basis. To help expedite the meet and greet process, please make note of my Animal ID number, and those of other dogs you might be interested in meeting. Be sure to bring your ID with you, too.
