About the Javanese
The Javanese is a breed developed in North America, essentially a longhaired version of the Colorpoint Shorthair (and thus closely related to the Siamese). It is not from Java; the name was chosen for exotic appeal. This breed combines the svelte, angular body and pointed patterns of the Siamese with a medium-long, silky, flowing coat. It is known for being highly vocal, intelligent, social, and people-oriented.
