Meet Lane

<3 A Special Note About Me   I'm part of Pawfect Match's Special Care & Rehabilitation Program. My journey is a little different than most.   Some of us are healing from medical conditions. Some of us are learning to trust. Some of us have special needs or require a very specific home to thrive. While we're always open to meeting the right family, our priority is making sure we're happy, healthy, and loved every step of the way.   For me, that means it would take a truly special home—someone who understands my unique needs and is committed to giving me the life I deserve. If that person comes along, we'd love to hear from them! Until then, Pawfect Match is proud to be my safety net and my family.   My care doesn't stop after my rescue. Food, medications, routine veterinary care, enrichment, and lots of love are all part of my everyday life.   If you'd like to be part of my journey, please consider making a donation toward my daily care. Every gift, no matter the size, helps dogs like me continue to receive the second chances we deserve.     ___________Hi, I'm Lane. I am a four year old girl who has enough energy to power the entire state of NC. I've been at my foster mom's since I was 11 weeks old. I'm really good in my crate during the day while foster mom is at work. I sleep in my crate at night as well. I also express my opinion when I'm crated and something else is happening in the house. I have strong FOMO! I may not look it, but my foster mom.had my DNA tested and I am Great Pyrenees, along with some staffie and some pittie and cattle dog. These long legs like to run lots of zoomies around the yard. They also help me jump like a kangaroo. A high fence may be necessary to contain my excitement. I would do best in an active household, with no small kids and no small animals. I do have a strong herding instinct. My foster mom had a cat that I really like to put in my mouth. I don't think the cat appreciated it very much. But I find it a lot of fun. I don't have to be the only dog in the household, but the other dog should probably be my size or a little larger and most likely a male dog. I seem to get along best with them. No girl drama! I can also be very protective of my stuff - food and toys especially. I don't like sharing them with other dogs. I am also the BEST guard dog - maybe a little too good. I want to alert you that you just let a stranger in the house and I have to go into protector mode. I am still learning that not everyone is trying to sell us solar panels and I don't need to be so mean sounding to foster mom's guests. If you are a dog savvy family that is willing to work with training and help me become the best dog ever, please put in an application. I would love to find my forever home. The adoption fee is $400, which covers food, vetting, microchip and the spay/neuter surgery performed by a rescue-affiliated vet.  All dogs receive a wellness visit and are up to date on shots appropriate for age.  Breed and size is Pawfect Match Rescue's best guess and not guaranteed.
